Lean UX - a answer for Agile ??
I am hearing a lot about Lean UX and Agile integration nowadays but how ?
From a UX strategic standpoint - I think Lean UX is very much blended with Agile development. The process it self saying that from the Concept to End product - it can be a one team. Every version is a new prototype for the next. Those old concept of talking about features & documents not required - we need to talk about workable solution. Basic is THINK > MAKE > CHECK ..... It is more like a solving the problem and generate multiple options but you need to decide quickly. And the best essence of this is - research and validate that solution with the User.
I like the approach very much but issue is how many organisation is looking UX from this perspective. Still Project Managers are taking time to learn about Usability. Even I heard in an conversation that one guy is asking if Usability is readily available in market and what is the cost for the License. I am not telling that all PMs are like that only but still we can find couple of them like that ....
And though Agile is a present model for Project Management - but people are more happy with waterfall till now.
From my understanding, Lean UX is way of mindset and approach of new ways of work which is more similar to Agile. It is more collaborative and cross-functional as UX is no longer having its own time and it needs daily engagement with teams to share the small component based deliverables to build a common understanding with our team.
Let's see how we can mingle Lean with Agile in NEXT ......
